Why I Stopped Looking for the Perfect Answer

How to trust yourself when you don't have all the answers

Why I Stopped Looking for the Perfect Answer
Reclaiming Her The Podcast

Have you ever felt like you're waiting for the answer before you can finally move forward?

The right career.

The right decision.

The right relationship.

The right diagnosis.

The right opportunity.

The sign that says, Yes. This is it. You're on the right path.

I've spent a huge part of my life looking for that answer.

And eventually I had to ask myself:

What if there isn't one?

What if I don't need to have everything figured out before I take the next step?

What if I can listen, try something, pay attention, learn, and course correct along the way?

In this episode, I talk about the search for certainty in my health, my career, my businesses and my life and the shift that happened when I stopped asking, “What's the perfect answer?” and started asking:

“What do I already know?”

I also share the unexpected way this changed the work I do today.

Because after years of being the woman who was doing 100 different things, I finally started paying attention to the things that consistently brought me energy, meaning and a sense of this feels like me.

And that's how I came to recognize the work that belongs to me:

Find Her.
Intuitive Reiki.
Holistic Health Coaching.
And this podcast.

They may look like different things from the outside, but to me, they're all part of the same bigger purpose:

Helping women reconnect with themselves.

Maybe the answer you're waiting for isn't something you need to find.

Maybe it's something you need to start listening to.

In this episode:

  • Why I became so attached to finding the “right” answer

  • How my search for answers around my health mirrored the way I approached my career and businesses

  • Why changing direction doesn't necessarily mean you've failed

  • What I learned from paying attention to what gives me energy and what drains me

  • How I went from asking “What else can I do?” to asking “What actually belongs to me?”

  • Why Find Her, Intuitive Reiki, Holistic Health Coaching and podcasting all fit into the same bigger vision

  • The question I'm now asking instead of “Am I making the right decision?”

  • Why you don't need certainty to take the next step

A question to take with you:

What answer are you waiting for before you give yourself permission to move forward?

And then ask yourself:

What is the thing I already know?
